London City Singers is a diverse a cappella treble-voiced choir, located in the heart of London. We are a welcoming group of singers, inclusive of people of all marginalised genders who sing in the treble range. We are dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence with a focus on both education and entertainment. Our mission is to bring great barbershop and a cappella singing to more people in our local community and beyond!
Since our formation in 2007, the chorus has gone from strength to strength. In 2016, Simon Arnott took over as musical director and his experience and creativity has helped to elevate London City Singers to new heights, earning numerous accolades and pushing artistic boundaries along the way. Notable achievements include winning Gold at the SABS (Spanish Association of Barbershop Singers) 2017 Convention and securing Small Chorus Gold at the Sweet Adelines Region 31 Convention in 2018.
In 2023, we joined LABBS (Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers) and placed 5th at our debut LABBS convention, showcasing the unique personality of the chorus. The following year, we built on our previous success by winning Bronze and being awarded the Best Mid-Sized Chorus and Most Entertaining Chorus trophies. In 2025 we had the privilege of representing LABBS at the European Barbershop Convention in Helsingborg, Sweden and placed 7th overall.
Beyond competitions, we host our own popular Summer and Winter concerts and are available for bookings throughout the year. We also welcome opportunities to collaborate with other choirs or music ensembles for public performances.
Looking ahead, we are honoured to represent LABBS at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in St. Louis in 2026.
