Founded in 2007, the chorus has gone from strength to strength, earning numerous accolades and pushing artistic boundaries along the way. Notable barbershop achievements include winning an international gold medal in 2017 and securing the small chorus gold medal at the Sweet Adelines Region 31 convention in 2018.
We joined LABBS in 2023, placing 5th at our debut convention, and 3rd at the recent 2025 convention. In 2024 we also won bronze and were awarded Best Mid-Sized Chorus and Most Entertaining Chorus trophies.
Beyond competitions, we host our own popular summer and winter concerts and are available for bookings throughout the year. We also welcome opportunities to collaborate with other choirs or music ensembles for public performances.
Looking ahead, we are honoured to be representing LABBS at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in St. Louis, Missouri in 2026.
Our Music Director Simon Arnott is an accomplished conductor, composer, arranger and educator from South London. He took over the musical direction of LCS in 2016 and arranges much of our repertoire.Outside LCS, Simon directs Meantime Chorus and Endeavour Chorus, and sings with award-winning quartet Trailblazers.
